| Bio: | South Jersey folk. Currently residing in Disturbing me at 9pm on Wednesday's used to result in the loss of a limb or other important body part, but they canceled Angel, and now I must move on... HAHA!! I've moved on! To Veronica Mars. Which has itself Okay, NOW I've moved on to Supernatural, Thursdays at 9pm. Disturb-blab-di-blah-cut-you-blah. Please don't cancel THIS show too? Please? *wibbles* I've befriended Dexter as well, and we are NOT on a timetable, so I'll have him come after you if you do! Disturb OR cancel. Either or. I'm not picky ;-P I've also recently discovered Doctor Who *happy sigh* it is bliss ;-P (When I say "discovered" what I mean is "became obsessed with" *twitches*). Please see above for still very much valid threat of bodily harm if this show goes away. Although, it's been on since the 60's, so that must count for something. There might also be some not-so-subtle flirting going on on my part with House M.D. and Battlestar Galactica (andverypossiblyHarryPotter) right now as well... Not-quite-so-recent grad school Spending my time in between working for Environmental Consulting firms and doing that whole "saving the planet" jazz. Not an artist, but I play one on Friending policy: I'm for it. De-friending policy: Against. Pretty simple, wouldn't you say? I'm also shameless. So feel free to feed my ego at any point: *HUGS* TOTAL! give skybound2 more *HUGS* Get hugs of your own Things I waste time on: Poetry, short stories, fanfiction, icons, wallpapers, headers/banners (and the occasional layout), photo manipulations, and music videos. On the fitness front: I do triathlons (swim-bike-run), the occasional road race, and yoga on a semi-regular basis. Please note: I AM SLOW. And that's...okay :-) (I'm also bendy, but we won't talk about that anymore here ;-P) Oh yeah, and somewhere in between all of that I manage to get some work done. The paying kind, the not so paying kind, and the kind I actually pay for ;-P Life. Is. Busy. Currently, I'm filling in those spare hours in the day (what, you use those for sleep? *Pfft* silly mortals *shakes head*) by participating in NaNoWriMO.  Some things you should know: I hug trees. No, seriously. I spent my study abroad time during undergrad replanting a deforested rain-forest area in Australia. I helped organize an on-campus recycling program at my grad school. I don't eat beef or pork for environmental reasons (the health benefits and animal cruelty issues aside). I spent five years working in veterinary medicine (mostly as a surgical/anesthesia technician) while earning my biology degree; prior to getting my Masters in Biology and Geography. And now I work for an environmental consulting company whose primary purpose is to help clean up polluted sites for reuse. I believe in a woman's right to choose; that your race, gender, and sexuality are simply what you are, not WHO you are (that's a much more complicated issue, one that can't be answered adequately by checking a box); and that freedom from religion is just as important as freedom of religion.
